Our Facility
Bedford Village Nursery School is located in the education wing of the historic Bedford Presbyterian Church on the Village Green in Bedford, New York. Four bright, spacious classrooms along with a multi-purpose hall provide ample opportunity for young children to learn and explore. In addition there is a large outdoor playground equipped with age appropriate play sets where group play is encouraged.

Unique Location
Our location affords the school many special activities and adventures; Walking as a group to the local library each week for a special library session; meeting the local firefighters who are stationed next door in the fire house; organize fun parades through the town for all to see.

Our Curriculum
Bedford Village Nursery School is an non-sectarian academic pre-school with a developmentally appropriate curriculum. The goal and activities in each class are designed to foster the development of expressive and receptive language, pre-reading, pre-writing and pre-math skills, as well as fine motor and gross motor skills. Our program utilizes hands on approach to learning through risk taking and investigating in a safe and supportive environment.

Individual differences, readiness levels and learning styles among our students are recognized and accommodated by our experienced staff. Our program is enriched by special events held in the classroom such as (but not limited to) yoga, gym, art activities, field trips. At BVNS we believe children learn through play and we provide an excellent environment for children to do just that.
